Floral Workshop and Demo

Time & Location

Feb 10, 6:00 PM – Feb 12, 4:00 PM

Whitefish, 235 Central Ave, Whitefish, MT 59937, USA

About the event

Students will spend two days learning to paint floral still lives from life.  One on one instruction as well as group demonstrations and lectures will cover the materials necessary for you to begin to create more life-like floral paintings.  The class will be held in-person and will be in oils.  Upon registration, an email will be sent to you with further information, including a list of materials.

The workshop will open on Friday evening with a public demo by Richie (this IS included for the registered students), where students can meet and members of the community can enjoy watching a live painting take place while sipping on libations.  We would like to encourage anyone to attend this evening demo. If you're not taking the workshop, tickets for this will be $20.  Note: Once again this portion is included for students in the workshop.

Class will begin on Saturday the 11th at 9 am. Coffee, tea, and pastries will be provided.  We will work from 9-12 and have a lunch break from 12-1 where students will be responsible for their own lunch.  Whitefish has many great near by and  walkable cafes and restaurants to choose from.  Class will pick back up from 1-4 pm and then we will do it all over again on Sunday!  We will NOT be painting from photo references, instead from real bouquets. Flowers will be provided.
