The Agony & The Ecstasy

This is a limited  edition "giant" print of only 50 of my piece, "The Agony & The Ecstasy". This painting was done during a particularly troublesome point of suffering in my own life. The background was painted from a place of pure expression, while the flowers came afterwards in a much more ordered depiction, both showing the immense contrast of suffering and elation. This piece illustrates the duality of love for me. Not simply a romantic love, but a greater love that asks us to come to know ourselves so we may better love and connect with those around us. A love that is for the other.
